About Hick Deals

Hick Deals (aka Hickdeals.com) was founded in November of 2006 buy a group of bored friends that needed a place to play.  Most of them were working moms that loved to find a great deal, and the rest were fun loving people that liked deals and friends.

Our purpose was to set up a friendly place for people to come and share their finds.  We have done it and hope it continues to be enjoyed for years to come.  It's not all deals and coupons, we also have computer help, a place to tell jokes (hick jokes welcome), and soon there will be a gallery of funny pictures our viewers have found.

So why "Hick" deals?  Some of us live in the woods and are often referred to as hicks.  It's not as bad as it sounds.  We like the simple things and live a peaceful life.  When coming up with a logo, nothing seemed to work.  Finally "The Cow" appeared.  The gears in our heads slowly turned and the cob webs cleared.  What could work better to make a fun loving first impression?

Why "Fear the Cow"?  There is absolutely no reason.  It sounded good.  It had a nice ring to it lol.  At times we try to find a way to clarify it.  The only thing we have come up with is "Fear the cash cow".  If you have something better, feel free to come into the forums and let us know.
