Our featured business is now:

Seagull Acoustic Guitars!

This company greatly impressed me this week!  Not only do they produce a great line-up of guitars, they are a company that truly takes pride in their work and are right here in North America.

Here is a quote from their website about the town that makes these pieces of art:

"The Seagull story wouldn't be complete without mentioning La Patrie. La Patrie is a small village in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. This is where the first Seagulls were made in the early eighties. Today, La Patrie has a population of about 475 and about half of these people are guitar builders. These folks take a great deal of pride in the guitars they build. Pick one up and you'll see why."

Now for my story:

I just played guitars for 3.5 hours looking for the perfect acoustic for me.  I played Taylors, Martins, Gibsons, etc. and the only one I could find that I really liked was a Taylor 714 for $2800.  Then I wandered into a side room and found the Seagull line.  They were beautiful and made in Canada instead of some distant Asian country.  I picked one up and started playing.  It was only $300 and sounded awesome.  Then I went to the next, and the next.  Finally I got to the Maritime SWS cut away with Q1 electronics.  It was $700 but the only one available was the floor model.

I really wanted that guitar!  It sounded the best and matched the Taylor 714.  It also had the perfect neck for me.  I was heart broke when I could not find another one.  Then I found that they made a better series, the Artist Portrait, that had the same SOLID WOOD sides, back and top.  It also had a much better electronic setup, the QII with pickup and adjustable mic.  The price was over $1200 though so it was out of my range.

After hours and hours of fretting over this guitar that I loved sooo much, I found a price that made it amazing and worth it!  At Amazon they had the Artist Portrait CW with QII electronics for $778!

Seagull Artist Portrait Cut Away with QII electronics - $778.00

You can guess how overjoyed I was to find it!  The Solid Mahogany sides and back, Solid Spruce top, Mahogany Neck, Tusq® nut and compensated saddle... It was perfect and $500 cheaper!  There were two left.  Needless to say, I bought one of them and there is one left.  I recommend buying it to anyone!

Their other guitars are great too!  You will not be disappointed with the quality or sound of this North American made acoustic guitar companies offerings!

Well, nice to know about seagull acoustic guitars. The guitar was really great, it made of mahogany. Actually, my father's first guitar is like the  seagull entoutage and the second one is the artist mosaic guitar. It nice and the sound is good.
